The ASTRAIOS project is pleased to share further news and updates about its participation in the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), which will take place from 14-18 October, in the beautiful city of Milan.
Our consortium is pleased to participate and be represented at different locations and via a dedicated interactive presentation on "The Role of first degrees in encouraging students to enter the space Sector: Analysis by the ASTRAIOS project".
Dr. Heidi Thieman will be delivering interesting results via an interactive presentation on 16/10/2024 Screen 42. The screen will be displayed throughout the whole duration of the congress at the North Wing – Level +1 of the Mico Convention Center and we encourage you to visit the location on the 16th of October at 13:10.
Additionally, the ASTRAIOS project has a dedicated section at the International Space University’s Booth, and you may reach out and exchange with our partner Ms. Danijela Ignjatovic Stupar at Booth MN-C03b, Level 0. Ms. Stupar will be pleased to share our latest outputs and news with the visitors, in addition to sharing more details about the future soft skills needs in the space sector. The theme for the 75th IAC is “Responsible Space for Sustainability” and according to the organizers, this theme intends to highlight the importance of Space as an environment that must be kept secure and open to exploration, peaceful use, and international co-operation by present and future generations in the interests of the planet and all nations, regardless of their level of development and without discrimination of any kind. This is crucial today as even more countries and public and private players are becoming actively involved in the space economy. Sustainability is currently one of the core points for the Federation as part of its current SIS agenda “Sustainability, Investment, and Security”.
The IAC is the one place and time of the year where all global space actors come together. Covering all space sectors and topics, it offers everyone the latest space information and developments in academia and industry, networking opportunities, contacts, and potential partnerships.
This year, the congress is hosted by the International Astronautical Federation member, the Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIDAA) and the two co-hosts Italian Space Agency (ASI) and Leonardo.
